Here Kitty Kitty

Yes money is tight. But that does not mean fab vixens have to give up style to prevent racking up that credit card bill. Stores such as Wet Seal, Forever21, and Charlotte Russe offer really cute clothes at a more affordable price. There are times in which I feel like browsing stores just to relax, or be in the element that I love. Considering the tight budget, I dare not go into a place where I am likely to see an amazing pair of sh0es for over $150.00! In that situation my willpower is not so strong. To prevent an overwhelming feeling of cognitive dissonance post-purchase, I just go where the prices are more reasonable.
Keep in mind to use care when caring for clothes that may be of lower quality. In my case I almost acquire a new wardrobe every season. It is easier to give away items that I have not paid much for, and I guarantee I will get my money's worth out of the wear. Just mix and match. Classic pieces may require a little more investment.

Take a casual tee

Diminish some of the casualness and get a little flirty with a skirt and boots

Sophisticate the tee by adding a boyfriend jacket and a pencil skirt.

All items are from WET SEAL. The total costs for the first outfit is only $84.00! Total costs for the second outfit is $104.00!

Why you "colorblocking"

I had not planned to do this as a post, but while searching through the pictures of my favorite items I noticed that colorblocked clothes and shoes were frequent in my archives. So, I decided to share.

Soothing RAin

THE skies are grAy and the air is filled with not only moisture but a slight sense of cAlm and peAcefulness. Or maybe its just me. Regardless of the sleepless night I endured I feel rather relAxed...even at work. Normally I crave coZy clothes, a romAntic book, and a cup of tea, followed by sleep, on rAiny days. But today I feel fine, and on downtime I use my required readings for class to substitute for the romAntic novel.

Stay FAb, even in the rAin,EVEN on a budget

Remember the Wallpaper?

Well Fab Vixen GT at gettogethablog.com provided some wonderful advice and insight to my question about how to incorporate the wallpaper into my decor without being overtly girly. I am excited to share the details.

Hello Ms. Ketrice...
Happy Monday...Just wanted to attach the corner nook that I created inspired by your pic....unfortunately with the exception of the accessories the furniture items are sold out.. That's why I encourage online shopping. We are in a recession but people still want a good deal...and will snap up stuff accordingly. I posted this on Brown Sista dot com and you're quite welcome to post it on your blog if you like...
Enjoy...

As for affordable Wall Paper its tricky cause it all depends on whether you plan on making this a DIY project or not... check out this site for affordable finds: The background wall paper in the pic you sent me is called "Damask". Here's a link to Steve's Wall Paper.

"Of course I would like to post this on my blog! I love it and I am so grateful for the response and suggestions. I am ready to begin my research and get started.
If you like it, and I know you love it! Find more inspiration @ gettogetha.com, or check out some of GT's posts, and other fabulous posts @ brownsista.com
THANKS!"

????????????

I was looking online for a possible casual outfit to put together. Of course I want the pieces to be sort of classic so that I can mix and match with what I already have. I have not purchased anything in a while so I figured I'll treat myself to a cute tricey type affordable outfit. The first site I entered was Baby Phat. I love the shoes and figured it would be worth my while. I found the shoes I liked, but stumbled upon these pants that I absolutely adore. This causes a dilemma because purchasing both items will exceed my spending limit. So at Oldnavy.com I found a reasonable shirt for $9.99 and I am reconsidering the shoes. But I really don't wanna. Sacrifices, Sacrifices!

Alternative shoe from Charlotte Russe

I'm thinking a bow tie with the plain pink button down

With Stilletos of course!
Boyish and girly at the same time
