Been so Long

I might be late on these for they have been sitting in my archives of pictures stored on my computer but, WHO CARES! I LOVE THESE SHOES! They are SICK! Look at the heel on the Jimmy choos, that heel is sexy all by itself.
And what about these. "Manolo" (Sorry for not having a bigger picture so you can enjoy all the details) I love an open toe with an anklet cuff. the look is most definitely feminine, and sensual. The lime green color, is what gives off the added vixen vibe.

Lip Gloss, You Brighten my Day

It seems as if the day flew by. I didn't get much sleep last night. I just could not stay sleep, and my mind wouldn't shut-up long enough for me to relax. I was up at 6:00 a.m. working on sponsorship emails and contacts.(So not me to be up before 8:30) I attempted to get back to sleep before eight and resumed working around ten.Lately I have been feeling sort of blah. My thoughts run into each other, and yet that doesn't seem to slow them down. It feels as though I HAVE to be doing something, or else I feel terribly bored and think about things that I would rather not focus on. I get antsy when I attempt to do one of my favorite things: Relax while reading a book.
Anyway, today when I went to the family house I was excited to find a package from Clutch Magazine. I had entered a contest a while back and won some lip gloss from, an online beauty store (www.illusionsbeauty.com)Not only did I get the gloss, but a tube of Maybelline's Volume Express Mascara in very black and Cantu Shea Butter Repair Cream for the hair.

The lipgloss color I received is sparkle and it is abslutely Fab and Vixenish on me. It was great worn alone, and was even better worn as a top coat over my "The Big Caramapple" Beauty Rush lip gloss from Victoria's Secret. Reminds me of a lipglass with an extra hint of sparkle. I was craving a new lip gloss and was going to head to the Beauty Supply to see if I could seek out an affordable, yet fabulous find. So thanks Clutch! Right on Time! Made for a great little pick me up. My sister, niece and nephew coming thru the door made for an AWESOME pick me up!

Wedding Dress!

Celena over at Strictly Fabulous (find her in my blogroll) has inspired me to do a wedding post. She did a design board, which was on a "Vintage Mod Wedding", and I absolutely loved it. Solo and I have been taking our time as if we have any, when it comes to this wedding planning stuff. I am so grateful for the friends, (Andrea, April) and Family, (Solo's mom, and sister, Bridgette) for stepping in and offering to take care of some of the major things.
The date is official, November 15, 2008, and invitations will be sent out as soon as they arrive. (Late, I know!) It is a small and personal wedding and reception, so I hope many are not offended for not receiving an invite. The colors are soft yellow, and a lighter than baby blue. I desire a yellow dress, but I am having a not so easy time finding one that I favor, that is affordable. My envision is a soft yellow, strapless, fitted, and slightly flared at the bottom with a train. I drew a picture of what I would like for it to look like, but I dare not share. I would like the blue to be somewhere on it. My thoughts were a ribbon around the waist. I'm thinking its gonna have to be made. Maybe I can find somebody at a reasonable price. Any suggestions?


A Blue bow, instead of this brownish maroon looking one, and I would like a softer more cheery yellow. Then again, I do like this yellow.
Or, maybe I can wear blue, and put my bridal party in yellow.
What do you think? Any more ideas? Remember, I am not really a traditional type girl, I love colors, and things that are not so everyday.

And the 4th has passed

This weekend was Fabulous! Food, sweets, family, kids, fun! Summery dresses, sunny days, followed by evenings that were cooled by a summer rain. I absolutely enjoyed my holiday weekend. Friday was spent with my Memphis family and this year my fiance joined us. That night wetook the kids to see the fireworks downtown. They were in awe being that this was their first time. Kayden, Kirsten, and Halei. I felt all happy inside seeing the look of wonder and amazement on their faces. Seeing the fireworks reminded me of my mama. We never celebrated an Independednce Day without finishing the night with the downtown fireworks. Me, her, and my sister. It was a Mitchell girls tradition.
Saturday was spent with my family in Mississippi. (Grandma and Ma's side) and I must say, I enjoyed myself. It was really nice seeing my aunts, uncles, and cousins that I really hadn't saw since a few years after my mom died.
Sunday,my other sister Shay and her family came down from Chicago to celebrate my niece's (Kennedy) fifth birthday at a waterpark in Collierville. I am thinking that maybe I had more fun than the kids.
In between the parties I had events to attend and meetings to go to. New ideas have to be presented for work, and I have yet to begun to brainstorm. I have had some creative thoughts here and there but nothing major.
I have been in LOVE with bright colors for the summer. The past two weeks my toes and the tips of my nails were yellow. Thursday I got a mani and pedi, followed by a splash of bright orande on my nails and toes. On the fourth I wore a bright yellow dress that I received so many compliments on. So I had to let these people know that I found the dress at Rue 21 for FIVE dollars.

Like a day at the beach

Just looking at the Tahitian Holiday Collection from Avon, makes me want to go on a tropical vacation. I most definitely will be purchasing the hair mist when I submit my Avon orders today.
