Where have you BEEN!!?

I know it's been forever since I did a post, but I'm just gonna pick back up as if the long...extremely long pause never occured.

During these hard times where our economy is struggling to survive, a lot of people have lost jobs and are finding it hard to maintain. I read so many articles that offer advice about how to do things (shop, go out,do entertainment, cook) on a very small budget. I get to thinking, "my budget was extremely low before the economy began to crash, and now its just non-existent. I can't afford to do anything extra." Through it all I can say that I was blessed then, and the Lord continues to bless me and my loved ones now.

I quit the job that I maintained for 6 years working as a security officer for TSA. Yes you heard right, I quit, in April 2008. I wasn't laid off or fired. Many may say "well she stupid as hell", but who cares. I have never felt more calm, relaxed, and good about my life or my future. I hated that job, and I felt if I held on to it I would always be afraid to step out on faith and reach for something along the lines of what I really wanted to do. "It was time", and that's my only respond to people who ask "Why in the hell did you quit!" I do not regret it at all.

Since quitting I have had the opportunity to do so many things that were more "me". I modeled, helped out at Fashion Shows, and even produced my own Fashion Show. I worked for a non-profit organization, and volunteered elsewhere whenever I could. I have had the opportunity to be a spokesperson/hostess/model for the Stone Awards and do some TV interviews, while also meeting and networking with a lot of great people. At the House of Mtenzi I gained a new family. Time has been on my side, which I had to spend with my family and friends. With holidays off, I was able to attend the entire family gathering instead of rushing to eat and get to work. I truly enjoyed myself. The time off has helped me to gain insight into what I Do Not want to do in life, which helps me narrow down my choices for a career. I'm not at the point where I can pinpoint what I want to do yet, but I'm getting there. I will have the answer before I graduate at the end of this year for sure.

So I am married to the best dude ever, and my new name is Ketrice Page. I have a great new family that has been "officially" added. The wedding was beautiiful, the honeymoon was great and everything was perfect. The family is investing into a Mo' Money Taxes franchise, that Solomon and I are currently running in Clarksville, Tn. This has been a wonderful experience and I have learned so much. This year we got our feet wet, and we are hoping to expand in a few years. We go back home in March. I am excited because I miss our families, and my neices and nephew, and the dog, terribly.
GOD has been good to me and I am truly grateful.
